There are ways to get a ringtone. Most phones are compatible with .mp3, .wav, etc.

~First, the easiest and most effective way to get a good quality, free, and any size ringtone would be to read my article that I wrote a little while ago, and follow these steps.

~A second way, is to actually go online in your phone (For example; T-Mobile, has t-zones which lets you download "fun" games, songs, themes, graphics, onto your phone), and in there buy the ringtone for 2 dollars. Now, this is practically the worst way, because you pay too much for 30 seconds of a song, and it doesn't come in good quality.

~The third way, is there are some sites that let you download the ringtone and actually preview the song before, allowing you to know what the song is going to be like, but pay a lot less.

~A fourth way, and personally I have not tried this before, but some phones have what is known as WAP. In WAP you can:

• Email by mobile phone
• Tracking of stock market prices
• Sports results
• News headlines
• Music downloads

Which some sites like this one, let you select free ringtones, and connect through WAP to get the song you want.
