Somwhere around 3 weeks ago, I was invited to participate in the 9Dragons closed-beta. I was overwhemled with happiness because it took them about 2 months to choose me. Anyway,

after playing this game for about 3 weeks or so, I have decided to write a review for all you open-beta waiters.  So from a scale of 1-10 (1 Being the worst, 10 being the best) here it is:

Graphics (9)
The graphics of this game are great and they really  let you experience amazing scenery and the water effects are brilliant. They have night and day modes and the transition is just perfect and it really gives you the effect of it going from night to day and vice versa. I am hoping that after a while they will add weather effects but being that the game is in closed beta they have plenty of time to work on this and fix the main bugs with the game itself.

Sound (9)
For once, a game that allows you to enjoy the sound effects and bgm! right I never once felt the urge to turn off the back ground music. At night you hear the crickets chirping, and day you can hear the chirping of birds. Each move makes a unique sound as well lightfoot sounds like feet moving very quickly (LightFoot is your running skill you just finish a simple little request from someone and boom you get lightfoot).

Gameplay (9.5)
The game skill system is unique and adds something more to the game play. You reached the required level to learn a new move, you go back to your clan head palace and talk to the trainer in charge of your level. You have to contribute weapons and clothes, but mostly the misc items you get after killing an enamy (I always contribute my old weapon once I have a replacement and that usually keeps me on top of contribution). You select the skill you chose learn and then you go and practice the move. It will not become available unless you practice the move you have selected. And as the move increases in level the more powerful and more combos are added. And of course complete certain quest and have enough clan contribution you can create a hero band (guild). For you PvP lovers this game has the PvP you all adore, 2 maps for PvP one is the Bloody Plains and the other is Hefei although that map is for dueling. Bloody Plains is the craziest of all PVP maps!

Community (10)
There is the best community available, they are all helpful and parties are never hard to find. When you reach the required grind levels its nice to look at your chat window and see that you can have a chat with anyone that's in your area. And if your in a hero band then you can chat it up with them as well. Great community in closed beta and if your surrounded with mobs don't worry, if you don't have time to run away someone will always come and help.

I'm very happy and feeling great that its going to be free to play and that will open the game up to a lot of people. Being the an amazing  true martial arts MMO its got the market cornered and its really great to see a game that works for us Jet Li, Bruce Lee, and Jakie Chan fans.

Unique features (10)
The unique features of this game are that you actually have to learn skills through mini games. Some of the minigames include; pounding away at a dummy while clicking the left mouse button when the ball meet the red section, running from one place to another with led weights on your feet to learn Lightfoot, or same idea but sitting to learn a passive skill that will help your character during battle. Another unique feature about 9Dragons is if you die anyone in this game can revive another player simply by double clicking that person before they lose consciousness.

Personal rating: 10 / Overall rating: 10
This game is a must play game! It's really fun to experience some of the martial arts used in the world, with either a staff, a sword, a spear, or even axe wheels ! It's not like some of those MMO's that are a pain in the back to just sit there, train, and buy. Not this one. 9Dragons gives to the right to be free in the game. Travel all around the world, and meet new people from different clans. This is a truly fun game. I know that this MMO, I'll be playing for a pretty long time.
