What you need

• Drop cloth
• Piece of furniture
• 2 colors of acrylic paint, one for the base and a contrasting color for the crackle design.
• Three 1-to 2-inch paintbrushes.
• Crackle Medium (manufactured by Plaid, makers of Mod Podge)
• Hair dryer (optional)

What you do with this stuff

1. Completely cover the work area with the drop cloth.
2. Paint the furniture with the base color. Let dry for 30 minutes.
3. Apply the Crackle Medium with your second paintbrush. Let dry for 30 min. or follow the instructions on the label.
4. Using the third paintbrush, apply the contrasting color acrylic paint. Watch as the crackle finish appears before your eyes!
